Probably not since you need the Nest wifi points setup fairly close to each other to get a decent signal. If the building is concrete or metal you'll have even more of an issue with signal pushing out to your basement. Best thing I would tell you is figure out a way to get at least one or more points on the other floors. Make a deal with your neighbors to let you have one in their house.... Just make sure you have your Router password set as a very strong one so nobody can figure it out easily. LoL Good Luck!!
