Not sure if your question has been answered but that's not a problem with your modem, that's a problem with your router. You can bought the most expensive modem you want and it still won't fix your 5Ghz dropping signal. If it's multiple devices that it's not showing up on it's your router, if it's just one device you notice it on that it's probably your device. 5ghz uses 20/40/80 mhz which is probably why it shows up on and off. Try switching it to just 40 or 80, not all 5ghz devices will see the 80 if they don't have the latest hardware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the modem has no affect on how your router works. your router has dual band you should be able to connect and use both. but that depends on the device. not all devices support dual band. also the max speed you will see on your 2.4 band will be about 80Mb and the dual band will depend on the device if its Wireless n or ac. max n is 300Mb and ac is as fast as your router will go. also depends on your ISP what speed the offer will determine your speed as well. if you cant use your dual band or doesn't work very good such as its slow your router may need reset and set back up or its bad and needs replaced.
