Modems are not wireless devices. It sounds like you want a wireless router, a.k.a. WiFi router. Or maybe you want a modem/router combo device that has both modem function and router/WiFi functions. Basically there are two steps to this -- step one is a modem that takes the signal from your ISP (next light) and converts it to Ethernet, step two is a router that takes the Ethernet from the modem and converts it to WiFi. You either have two pieces of hardware or you can get a combo device that has both functions in one piece. It is a matter of personal preference whether you want two lower cost pieces of hardware or one higher cost combination device. Compatibility of the modem function with your ISP is out of my scope, but it depends on the technology your ISP uses. If next light is DOCSIS compliant then you should be ok.
