• Yes it will provided you can access your xbox account on more than one console simultaneously. This is a network switch, you plug it in and it will extend to the remaining open ports. I am running multiple playstations by using this switch.

• Yes, this is how I use it in my home. I connect the netgear switch to the router provided by my telco to get more wired ports for all my devices.
