Sounds like you have a 10/100 switch currently. This switch is 10/100/1000 so I would think it would free up your bottleneck just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Netgear says this switch is non blocking and will give a true 1Gb speed. It also states each port will provide 2Gbps at full duplex. However in my experience it’s always best to test it anyways. Wiring is usually the culprit if you don’t get near 1Gbps speeds. Usually it’ll be 800-900Mbps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two measurements: Megabits per second and Megabytes per second. Not sure which speed you're referencing, but this switch, at 1,000 bits per second can transfer up to 125 megabytes per second. So it MAY be a little bit faster, depending on cabling and condition of the media you're using.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will go up to 1GB aka 1000MBs / Per Sec
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This switch is gigabit capable meaning it can handle up to 1000mbps, in my personal experience with this device it will not limit you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It’s capacity is actually 1 gb so would surely work for you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’ve tested ours and it definitely runs at gigabit Ethernet speeds between ports. Our service provider guarantees 100 mbps and I can see this float from that to as high as 124 mbps at times. So - no unit should not be limiting you to 100 mbps. Just be use that your receiving device can also support gigabit Ethernet or you may be limited to 100 mbps at that device (not this switch). Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cause you have a fast connect which is 100mb, this is 10/100/1000. This is 1 gig connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to make sure your existing switch is something more than a 1/10/100 switch. The network switch you are asking about is rated as a gigabyte switch. The last switch I had died, causing all kinds of issues. This switch has functioned perfectly and though I've not done all I can to try to bog it down, it has handled all I have thrown at it. I'ts carrying the traffic of 3 desktops, 2 external Tb drives, and 4 DVD players, 2 of which are Blu-ray.
