• Can it connect to a Ruckus extender? Yes. Any standard Ethernet device (like access points/extenders) will work. Can it power the Ruckus device over Ethernet? No, it cannot. This switch does NOT provide PoE. The GS108E specifically shows PoE Budget: n/a. [netgear.com] If your Ruckus extender requires PoE for power, you would need: A PoE injector, or A true PoE switch such as NETGEAR’s GS308EP (8‑port PoE+).

• While I don't know which model you may have, I can say that if you are using one with an Ethernet connection I don't see why it would not work with this switch. The Netgear GS108E does not provide PoE (power over Ethernet).
