I am not sure why you would need to hook a phone directly to the modem, but yes, you could.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There isn't a modem available at a retail store that handles a phone line. Only the one you rent from the cable company for $10/mo. will handle the phone line. HOWEVER - GET THIS. If you purchase and install your own modem for the internet and tell the cable company that you have purchased your own modem for the internet, they will cancel the $10/mo. rental fee AND let you keep their modem for the phone FOR FREE! Go figure. You'll need a cable splitter and run one line to the internet modem you purchased and the other line to the cable company's modem for the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think a phone can be connected to this. No USB port on the back. Their may be a creative way to do this but I'm just going with using a power strip and hiding all the wires behind a piece of furniture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The modem can be connected to the phone but only if you are a Comcast customer. I recently found out the hard way about that requirement. It's not mentioned on the box or Best Buy's website about the requirement. From what I learned if you are not a Comcast customer then you are stuck with whatever used modem your internet provider gives you.
