If you already have a wireless signal from your existing modem/router, you should be able to connect the wireless printer to the same signal. If you had your computer and printer on different routers/networks, the printer and computer may not communicate correctly.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The short answer is NO. You can use the router to connect your PC and printer together wirelessly considering the range is pretty good. This will only supply you connectivity in your own home network. The more complicated answer is that you WILL need to connect using a CAT 5 cable (at least) from the router to the modem IF you want Internet access. That said, there may be a way to use the router as a repeater for a Modem that offers wireless. The wireless connection will be slower and the setup to make it a repeater is a little complicated.
