It depends on how physically close you are to the main router. It’s signal goes through some walls and floors but bathrooms, kitchens and some floors block the signals which account for one room working much better or worse than the room next to it. You can find a good spot and eliminate that blockage by plugging your Netgear into different locations and picking the spot where the signal is strongest. It finds it automically.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It really improves my internet kinda had same problem as you described but not any longer. When my brother lost his job we loaned this box to him and my mother lived in the house next door ( a another while property) and he used it to get wireless in his whole house without paying for it till he went back to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should solve this problem. I purchased this WIFI extender to extend the range out of the house into the backyard because we have a pool out there and the coverage was spotty at best. Now I get a signal all the way out to the pool, PAST the pool actually, and it is steady and reliable!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My place is on one floor, but we had that problem on the other end of the house. I've found line of sight from your modem to the extender is important. That seems to maximize the signal to boost. With that, I've found the extender to be very helpful. 5 bars on all units on the other end of the house where we experienced signal dropouts before.
