Tough question to answer since the lag can come from any number of things. If you have a wifi scanner (plenty of free apps available for Android and Apple tablets), you can see how many other networks are using the same channel(s) your xfinity wifi. My guess is that it's pretty crowded, in which case changing the channel that your wifi communicates on will help. And since this USB wifi has both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz channels, you have plenty of choices of finding a channel that has fewer networks using it. What you want is to have a channel that is free of every other network, so you have the best chance at getting the rated speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I realize your question is 6 months old, but just to answer it: no. The Xbox One doesn't accept external WiFi adapters (at least not that I know of). If you're getting a weak signal, you have to consider distance, signal strength (maybe a better router?), going hard-wired, or possibly setting up a WiFi access point (though this additional "jump" may increase signal strength at the cost of some additional latency).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Netgear AC 1200 main advantage is consistent reception. The device probably will not be able reduce lag in in the transmission of signal to the X box.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should help but it depends on the proximity, speed band (2.4 GHz vs 5GHz) of the Xfinity hotspot you are connecting to. As long as the location of the device has access to strong signal and band, it should help with lag.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably not. Most "lag" on the Gaming systems is normally due to four things: 1 - The system is to far from the router (weak signal). 2 - Way to much "traffic" (devices) are on the same frequency "clogging" the "lane" between the system and the router. 3 - Your router is not designed for gaming. I cannot tell you how many folks think an ISP provided wireless router can handle big time gaming. It cannot. 4 - You have the gaming system ticked into a cabinet thus reducing the signal strength.
