This isn’t a wifk provider, this just enables a wifi access point on a pc to pick up your wifi signal you already have.

As I understand, it's really just a radio receiver that picks up the 5G from your WyFi system, converts it, and sends it to your USB port. The Geeks Squad guy told me that it only works on a USB 3.0 port, but I don't remember reading that in the literature. Both of mine ARE plugged into USB 3.0 ports, however, and both work.
