“I am having issues with lag whenever i game, some games are worse than others, however, i dont know if its a crappy provider (spectrum) or if its a crappy internal wifi. How can I find out to know if this product is worth the buy or not?”

It's a bit late, but for anyone else with this issue: 1. Use a speedtesting site such as: speedtest.net and see if your internet is at an appropriate speed. (If you're below ~20Mbps, you'll probably have trouble playing online). 2. If you any other network adapter available, try swapping adapters to see if the slow connection persists. If it does, it's just Spectrum most likely. If your speed improves with the other adapter, its likely the adapter that's faulty. If you don't have another adapter, try connecting via ethernet cable to your modem/router if you can (that would actually be the best option over another adapter). If you can't do that, return the item and buy a different one or they may be able to just swap the potentially faulty adapter for a new one. If the new adapter still persists with the lag issue, contact your ISP.

If not then this will not give you much performance increase connecting to a G or even a G MIMO router. If you have an AC router (900mb/s - 1200mb/s) then yes it will make a difference. Depending on the lag it could be the connection to the server, what are your ping times on the servers you are playing? If you are getting low latency there then we would need to know your system specs and whether or not the lag is related to another piece of hardware, i.e. video card, processor, memory...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this router and my speed when from 1,1 mb to 120mb at the higher level 5mhzt the lower 2.4mhz level is overloaded with to many devised. I would buy this again if I have a need for it, as for games I do not know
