Yes the router's internet(WAN) port will need to be plugged into your modem via Ethernet cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As slong as you can use an ethernet cable to linked to the AT&T DSL you are good.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Have a charter communications modem connected
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not have to have a Cable/DSL modem to use this as the router will act as a switch between your connected devices. But if you want those devices to talk outside your network to the internet, or internet traffic to come into your network from outside then yes, you will need a Modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot plug-in a DSL cable into this router. The DSL cable plugs into the AT&T modem and the ethernet needs to be plugged into router. If you need both then look for ADSL+ router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This router does not act as a modem, so you would need a modem to convert the signal from phone to ethernet. Once you have it this router does just about everything you could ask! You can add storage, printers and other wired devices to the ethernet and USB ports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your DSL has LAN outputs, this will connect just fine to your AT&T DSL. Just connect the LAN output of your DSL to the WAN input of the Netgear router. Please note that if your dsl is 30MBps or slower you will be putting a spare tire under a ferrari so to speak.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you will need a separate modem. I have at&t as well and used the netgear - broadband ADSL2+ modem and it works great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, modem is not required for connecting this router to a DSL connection.
