• A:Answer It will work with better with DSL as it does not contain a modem, so it will plug into anything with a Ethernet Out port (most modems and any modem/router combo) It does come with one Ethernet (internet) cable. It is designed for wireless operation, but can also be operated with wired connections if desired.

• A:Answer Not sure if this applies to you. I have ZiplyFiber internet service. They sent me a MOCA adapter and it didn’t work. The NightHawk wasn’t detecting the signal. I ended up reusing their old modem. That works great.

• A:Answer I would definitely use this over renting at any time, same goes for a modem too. The rental fees will surpass the option of buying one for yourself before you know it, saving you a ton of money.

• A:Answer No. This router, as with any router, must be setup physically in person. Once it’s setup, you can use the Netgear app to control it remotely. It is a very simple router to setup for anyone not tech savvy. It has simple to follow step by step instructions.

• A:Answer As I understand it, the router may be a good firewall between your computer and the internet. However, I am not an expert and some suggest that you can't be too safe and may want to use both a hardware firewall such as a router, and a software firewall.
