“I used the app to set up the WiFi Extender; however on my mobile device and laptop it does not have the WiFi option for Netgear. It still only has my Spectrum option. Should I see a WiFi option for Netgear? Thanks”

I also had issues with the extender trying to set it up via the app. I then connected the extender to my computer using an ethernet cable. The process was less frustrating and provided more customization. Absolutely no problems since.

Hello Ivy. The extender simply repeats the wifi SSID you currently have. In the netgear setup you can modify the name son that you can see the two separate signals. Just add ext to the end and that way you can see the two individual signals.

there should be an option called "extender". that's what showed up on my ipad and i chose that for the setup.
