“I installed it through the app and it says it was successful but I only see my original wifi name and not the wifi name_ext like I've seen with other extenders. Did I not install it right? Or is it supposed to appear as just your wifi name?”

I believe the ext is the older version. The newer ones use your same Wi-Fi name and your device jumps right on it when you are in range. I got two like this and 1with ext
