“Will this work for a desktop that is not wireless? I received a desktop from my employer for my home officer. It is not wireless. It does not have a CD ROM drive. I need to gain connectivity using the Ethernet cables. My home office is upstairs but my Verizon DSL modem is downstairs. Will the NETGEAR Wall Plug work for me since I can plug the Ethernet cable directly into it? Thank you.”

• Yes it will if you have a wireless router connected to your modem. You would use the extender function on this product.

• It should absolutely work. I have an XBox One connected to it via the LAN port on the side of the extender.

• This is the Wi-Fi extender only. This will not work unless your system you have Wi-Fi.
