You’ll use the same password as your existing network, but with the extender you’ll see it adds another couple of choices with EXT on the end of them. For example..before you might have NETGEAR1 and now you might see NETGEAR1 and also NETGEAR1EXT2G or NETGEAR1EXT5G but you’ll probably see different signal strengths on each, but they will use your same password to join..hope this helps out!
