Yes, there is lag, I have several all around so what the one misses the other catches, but they are slow.

I have checked ours for accuracy by monitoring how it responds to when a car pulls in the driveway or when I have come into the house. It does have a delay and sometimes it just doesn't record the motion. I'm not sure if this is the camera, the color of clothing that one is wearing or what the issue is. I have learned not to depend on it for anything very important but just as a comfort that at times our home is protected. If you have a chance I would monitor what yours is doing with some practice tries of your own so that you can better understand how it handles the movement, placement and how it is recording. We have had better luck since we have done some monitoring to see where it is best placed for the most accurate recording of movement.
