• Yes it does have red lights that come on when it's dark.

• It has IR lights that are useless. The range is about 10ft. I had to buy add-on IR lighting to get it to see anything at night.

• It does switch to night vision at night and HS infrared lights that only come on when motion is detected, it then records the motion, usually around 10seconds

• It has tiny infared lights for night vision which are basically unnoticeable unless you know where the camera is mounted.

• There is a very slight red glow, but you'd have to be looking for it to see it.
