Their is no setup fee for phone notifications.

You can also watch live from anywhere then there is wifi! No fee for this basic service! I believe you can upgrade to a different more involved service, where they monitor.

You have to set up if you want it to record and for how long up to 2 minutes and if you want to be alerted by notification or email. There is a free app to customize the info and also download or manage your recordings.
