• No, the base station must be connected through an Ethernet cable.

• If your hotspot has an ethernet port then it should work fine. The base station for the system must be physically connected via ethernet to the router to work properly. If your hotspot does not have an ethernet port then the system will not upload video to, or be accessible from, the internet.
