• The batteries will definitely not last 6 months unless you do not use it to record motion detection Secondly, the batteries are not rechargeable but you can buy and use rechargeable batteries to replace the included set of batteries....note that rechargeable batteries will not last as long and you will need to swap them out regularly to recharge them

• They need be changed. I read that you can use rechargeable batteries and you can rotate them and that seems to be effective. Hope that helps. :-D

• The batteries are not rechargeable. I can't speak to how long they last, because I returned mine in less than a week.
