It records in intervals of 1 min and there are monthly fees. There's different packages like a low$ medium and high$ but nothing crazy I think we have the elite and it's only 14.99

Batteries are inexpensive, and last average amount of time, since there's no subscription or monthly fee, battery replacement is all you'll ever pay for!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it records when motion is detected for 10 seconds. It will keep recording as long as there is motion. The batteries last about 6 months. There are no monthly fees on up to 5 cameras. 9 cameras is $10 a month.
