I've got the camera outside the backdoor scheduled to record for 60 seconds after motion is detected. I set up push notifications to my cell phone whenever there is motion detected. My other cameras are set up to just be available if I need to peek in on the kids. The recordings are all available in the cloud. I can access it from anywhere (but watch your phone's data). The software can also be used to only record motion during certain times of the day. Lots of different variables can be set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine records as soon as something triggers it. And it's stored in the app that you need. Then you can download them, email it, share it however you want
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can set the cameras to start recording at motion, and you can set for the amount of time you would like it to keep recording. It records to the cloud storage, and you get a week worth of storage for up to 5 cameras free. If you want additional cameras or storage, that is a monthly fee (and the fee depends on the amount you get).

Please try again later.Yes, you can set it up so once it detects motion, it begins to record. you can also define for how long it will record (30-90 sec), if you'll only the alert message or if you want an email to be sent. In the email or in the app, you have the option to download the video recorded - and you should do so, since it has a limited storage it deletes after a certain # of days. I've bought 4 cameras at Best Buy and you can have up to 5 in the same unit, recording and having this storage/download feature for free.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The alert is sent and video is captured and stored to the cloud. This is included with a basic set-up.
