QuestionWill this router/modem work with Centurylink Fiber Optics? They say it needs to be "Gpon" compatible, whatever that is. Unit literature does not say "Gpon", but sales person at Best Buy tells me that VDSL/ADSL makes it compatible. Can anyone verify?

- Answer Yes, depending on your end user update definition. In the User admin webpage there is a link you can click on to reach back to the Netgear servers to see if they have a firmware update available and if so it will download and install. but if you mean download and put it on a thumb drive and try to install through the USB port I'm not sure.

QuestionMany reviews on ALL of Century link's "recommended" wifi modems have complaints! I have a hard time believing their DSL signal is coded to interact with just those few devices. Is this well-reviewed Netgear AC1600 compatible with Century link?
