My pc connects to this machine from my basement. Also one tv. There are issues with connectivity, but they are rare.

I have a 3300-square-foot colonial home, and set mine up in a second-floor bedroom that I'd converted to an office at the far end of the hallway upstairs. I didn't test it in the basement, but I have full connectivity throughout the main floor as well as upstairs, so I can't imagine that it wouldn't work fine in the basement as well.
