• Recently moved and got under Comcast xfinity. When the tech arrived he brought a modem/ router even though I had mentioned I owned this product. The comcast technician said mine was better.

• Both are great options. The XB3 is a Cisco product with a good record but it is locked to Comcast/Xfinity only. The Netgear modem on the other hand can be used on most service providers networks and has a slightly larger range on the Wi-Fi signal from my experience. If your looking to get signal in the back yard or might be moving out of Comcast's service area the Netgear is the way to go.
