• Inorder for any ISP to enable Home WiFi you need to share the MAC address with them so that they push the configuration to your modem for your seamless browsing experience

• I did it without calling and it worked fine but if you call they will register it and reset the line in case there are problems later and they see a different device thanwhat they have registered.

• Yes you'll have to give them the MAC address or their servers won't recognize what is trying to connect essentially! It's a pretty fast process though!

• You must provide the mac address. There is an automatic activation website that will open in your browser once the modem is hooked up and you try to browse the Internet from your computer or device but that automatic activation website never worked for me. I have always had to call.
