Yes; you can replace both router and modem boxes provided by Spectrum. Just call Spectrum to initalize the box once you have it hooked up.

Yes, it is compatible with spectrum. I just installed it for my folks for whom i got spectrum for. The installer had to call in the modem model before finishing installation.
