A:AnswerWhen using this extender I highly recommend using an Ethernet connection with it that's what I do. If you connect an Ethernet cable from your tv to this device you should get a higher signal. I'm getting close to 100mbs.
A:AnswerAlthough I have not tried this myself. I would assume that since you're ring device communicates with your router and this simply extends the range, you should still be able to communicate back to your devices via the Wi-Fi extender and your router. I don't understand the other person's answer because that wasn't the answer to the question that was asked. All this is is a Wi-Fi repeater in so many terms. Hope this helps.
I'm getting ready to try it myself and I will come back to this group when done and report my findings.

A:Answer5G routers are backward compatible with 802.11N and 802.11ac standards. if the 5G router has be backward compatibility it should work. I have not tested, but logically it should work.
A:AnswerSorry, I cannot answer this question. We cannot even get DSL from Verizon here, much less FIOS. But the gear works beautifully on cable input and gives us WiFi throughout the house.
