• No. FiOS uses a technology called MOCA and this cable modem uses a technology called DOCSIS. Unfortunately the two aren't interchangeable. Take a look here or contact your ISP for compatible devices. http://www.approvedmodems.com/verizon.html

• I used to support fits, and know that Verizon likes you to use their products. If you use third party then Verizon would not be able to diagnose problems with your cable. If you still want to use it, you would have to check with Verizon to see if it would work.

• I don't have FIOS, but have been told that traditional "cable modems" don't work with it

• I don't think so because it only has the following connections: 1 coax, 1 USB, and 2 Ethernet. Of course there is also a plug for the power cord.
