Of course you can choose you own password. No set up isnot hard your server will help if you need it. Replacement? Cross that brodge when you come to it if at all. Good luck...:) peace

This device looks like it will be relevant for many years to come. It is a good middle of the road device, so as long as it can handle the speed you have from your ISP (Time Warner) it will continue to be compatible.

Since they have older models listed on the TWC website I am assuming this unit would work for a while. The TWC technician set mine up, but there are directions on their website on how to set it up yourself.
