“Does this require you to have an Ethernet cord or can it just be connected via the cable? Currently have an old ubee modem/router that only requires the cord for power & the cable cord (no other cords) & it is extremely slow in my 1300 sq ft home.”

• No ethernet cord required -- though it is an option if, for example, you want to have internet access for a computer that isn't wifi enabled.

• Coax from the wall and you are done It includes the Cat5 cable if you wanted to program or use it connected directly but you don't need it if is set up with WiFi

• Yes, the modem/router does require you to have an ethernet cable connected.
