No you cannot use this product with Xfinity home phone service, I am a former employee of Comcast or Xfinity, and in order to have phone you must have an EMTA modem. You can buy combo EMTA modem /Routers I highly suggest calling or going into a service center, they will provide you with a list of compatible EMTA Gateways for your area.

You need to figure out what you mean by "Land Line"... your question, as it is worded, is like asking "will these tires work on a car made by Toyota." The answer depends on WHICH car. In your case, it depends on which TYPE of land line Xfinity provides. I think Xfinity is Cable Internet, but it might vary in your area. The Netgear N300 isn't a cable modem, it is just a Router. Modems are devices that turn the input line from the Internet Service Provider, into the standard Ethernet cable that is used by all networking devices. Routers allow multiple devices to connect to each other, including to the modem so they can access the internet. There ARE Modem/Router combo devices, but the N300 is not a Modem/Router combo. All Routers can work with any ISP. Modems and Modem/Router combo devices must be designed to work with the ISP type you have. For example, Cable Modems only work with ISPs that provide internet through a Cable line. DSL modems work with DSL providers. You can't connect a Cable Modem to DSL or vice versa, as the cables are literally incompatible. So, if you want to use this with Xfinity, you can, but you're going to need a Cable Modem to connect it to. By itself, the N300 can't connect to Xfinity internet.
