• I have had the same problem connecting Magic Jack and now the NetGear modem stopped working after only 13 months. My previous modem lasted 3 years! I really think the issue is with the modem because I have never had an problems with Magic Jack with my previous router (One leased from cable provider and the Linksys modem.

• Yes, I have magic jack and it works well with my net gear.

• I have connected my VOIP (internet based) phone device which is from BasicTalk and it works great. It should work with Magic Jack.

• Yes, you can connect Magic Jack on Ethernet port for voice.

• I can't say whether or not it will work with a magicjack, but I've got my NetTalk voip phone connected to one of the ethernet ports and it works fine.
