“Does the modem support gigablast from coy internet services? If so, will I have to call them to let them know I switched out my modem or does it not matter as it runs from a cable?”

You will have to call your provider and give them the serial number off the back. They will turn it on on their end. I had to do the same. I’m with spectrum but they also had this modem on there approved list.
