“Ethernet ports only seem to work for one device, that was set up initially. No other devices will connect, so I can’t have one Ethernet cable to tv and one to Wi-Fi router,, am I missing a set up step?”

You may want to factory reset the device make sure the unit is on the latest firmware and go through the setup again.
