• It creates a new SSID with the suffix "EXT" for extension. It is dual band so actually creates two new SSIDs - one for 2.5G and one for 5G.

• Sorry it's a home computer so I hard wired it into the router, but I believe it's off the same home wifi. Hope this helps.
