“I am having trouble connecting to my laptop and my kindle fire tablet using the 5G network. It claims it not in range even though I'm sitting right next to the Modem. How ever I connected the 5G net work to my 65 in Smart TV with no problem. What can I do”

You may want to change the channel used by 5g connection. I changed mine from the default via the admin program to a lower number like 48 and my 5g connection was then visible and available.
