“How is the connection strength with this router when gaming I like to have a wired connection when playing online but according to the stats the wired connection is slower than wireless? Is this actually the case and is this worth purchasing for gaming?”

The stats can be misleading due to the nature of a wired connection versus wireless. One has to remember that a wired connection does not have to deal w/ any interfernce (i.e. other WIFI devices, other WIFI routers, obstructions, etc) that could affect the total throughput; also, distance from the WIFI router affects strength/speed. To keep it brief, get full 1000Mb (1Gig) all the time whereas WIFI could fluctuate (another issue that could affect latency & speed). Also, to get the 2400Mb throughput you have to ensure that the laptop/wifi network card FULLY supports that standard to get maximum benefit. I hope this helps and have a blessed Thanksgiving!
