Joe Not sure if it would keep the same speed with 7 or more people all on gaming consoles or not depends on the amount of data transfer or traffic that each person was doing at one time i can tell you i have run it through the paces with 2 xbox one x downloading game updates of at least 20 gb or more at the same time as having about 8 other devices connected to the same network and both consoles were holding steady between 90-115 mbps (my incoming signal to the house is 100mbps internet speed) so far i am very pleased with the signal strength and capability of this router i have seen dramatic drops in gaming latency and lag and download times have been cut in half over my old dual band router also netgear

Please try again later.With my AC2400 when the great-great nephews and nieces visit (4 of them) there will be at any one time, 3 tablets, 2 laptops, at least 2 computers, 2 or 3 FireSticks, and my house phone. Being smaller kids they forget to turn off devices when they go to something new. They love to print pictures from the internet, play online games, watch videos on one tv, and of course they all want to watch different movies (at the same time). I have had no problem running all these devices pretty much at once. Make sure that when you hook it up to watch video, use the 5G connection.
