It cant boost your speed. That depends on your provider and speed you have set up for. But it sends out a strong er signal for WiFi so that back areas that may be getting a weaker signal and slowness because of that get a better signal. There are different channels on this device to hook up to. 5g and 2.4 channels. So do not have to overload and put all on one. I have TV streamers and my phone, game systems on the 5g channel and my kids stuff on the 2.4 channel. So not all overloading onto one. Very noticeable difference!

A router like this is always a good investment Bc you can use it with any ISP (AT&T, Comcast, windtream, ETC...) and it will handle a lot of devices better than your standard modem/router.
