• It does not have a modem but I use it with Spectrum.

• It does require a modem. The modem gives you internet, the router provides the wifi. Yes, it will work with Spectrum.

• No modem. The combo units you are looking for will say modem/router on them or will have things like docsis 3.0. I would recommend getting a separate modem so it's easier to upgrade and gets you more options. I believe all the modems at bestbuy work on spectrum
