It could if your problem is a result of your current router. The other choke point could be your internet service provider. If you are using a router older than a couple of years I would update the router and do a speed test at Speedtest.net. If speeds are below 20Mbps down, you should be able to stream one or two movies reliably. The router can only be as good as your service provider.

Please try again later.There are multiple factor to take into account that can cause buffering issues: internet connection speed, streaming site, distance from device to router, etc. This router will strengthen wifi signal throughout your house so you can expect higher wifi speeds, but since you're on satellite internet with relatively large lag times, it may not help your case.
