The actual answer is Yes and No! First there is two models make sure you have the right one. It’s C7800-200NAS otherwise it’s a waste. Now when you enter the MAC address when adding the modem, it will take it. There’s the “Yes” part. The “no” part is that for whatever intelligent reason Spectrum’s system will identify the modem, call it by name and model and use it but not recognize it and won’t add it to your account as the modem of choice. Now if there isn’t a modem on the list for internet service they’ll assume you canceled and shut off your service. You will, currently run into this. So once you connect your nighthawk to spectrum don’t bother to return the modem they gave you until on your account it says you have a nighthawk modem and it reflects on the internet service part of your account. As a work around keep the modem that spectrum gave you and store it and have your Nighthawk connected for internet service. This will save you 2-4 weeks of misery and of trying to find that one technician who actually is a technician and knows what to do.
