- Answer Yes, the Netgear Nighthawk AX2400 is a dual band WiFi Router. You plug in your internet source (cable modem, DSL modem, or wired internet connection and this router creates WiFi access fed by your internet source. It also has four wired ports on the back. It broadcasts a 2.4 GHz signal and a 5 GHz signal. You can use the pre-set network names (SSID's) or you can create your own. I replaced an older wireless router with this one and I'm pleased with how well it works. Hope that helps!

- Answer Yes it does. We have had this router for a little over a month. We use AT&T DSL. I did notice that our speed increased with this. I would recommend.

- Answer I bought a Netgear Nighthawk that WILL NOT connect to the internet. It connects wirelessly but no internet. EVERY time I have called for help they want between $99.00 and $300.00 to help me fix it. Needless to say, I am returning it today.

QuestionI want to switch off wireless internet to have only hard wired connections. Can I do this with this model? I cannot see a toggle switch on this photo. The size is too small to see.

QuestionWill this router work with Verizon Wireless? They require an IMEI number before it can be attached to an account, does this unit have such a number?

- Answer An imei should be irrelevant for using the router. You aren't connecting it wirelessly to verizon internet if you are using this router. This router is connected via ethernet cable from the modem/router that is receiving the service directly. It will not take a cell signal directly and route it.

- Answer This router has only RJ45 inputs. Your modem handles the cable and fiber inputs. The unit can handle the speeds if that is part of you question.
