The short answer is no. You will only get the speed you pay for, plus or minus depending on your provider and network traffic. However, depending on your current router, you should get a more consistent signal within your home. I bought this for my parents who have a home that is horrible for wifi. This router gave them a solid signal throughout their home. I hope this helps.
