This router would not help your problem. You would need an ethernet (wired) connection to make this router work. I'm afraid that your problem is related to the apartment complex and probably how far away from the signal source you are, how many walls are between you and the source, etc.. What might help is a signal amplifier. There are many different types available online and probably at Best Buy, too. They aren't hard to set up and would probably improve your Internet experience. You might still be subject to the bandwidth and speed limitations of the apartment complex network, but having a stronger signal can't hurt.
