Awesome Lighting Speeds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a 3000 sq ft house and this Nighthawk router does an excellent job of reaching every room with enough bandwidth to handle streaming without any lagging. This router gets average speed up 470-527 mbps. Setup couldn’t have been any easier. I personally set it up the manual way by logging into the router from my computer and was able to configure everything there. I also downloaded the Netgear Nighthawk app and followed the on screen instructions. We were given the option to name the new router the same as the old and use the same password so that nothing would have to be reprogrammed with new passwords. The app made set up easy and we were up and running that night. I can also run speed tests and wifi analytics, monitor UL/DL traffic, and engage parental controls from within the app. We can connect 5 cellphones, 3 laptops, Xbox-One S, Playstation 5 and even wifi connected security camera with no drops on the wifi network. It has an average set of features like USB port, 5- 1-gig Ethernet ports and basic networking/security feature. I highly recommend the Netgear Nighthawk AX5200 to anyone who needs more signal, a neat app that allows you to control the multiple capabilities of the router at ease.

Nighthawk AX5200 - RAX48 - Working Like A Champ
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've read a bunch of reviews . . . both good and bad . . . and here's mine. I've purchased this Nightgear Router on sale at 50% off in December 2020. As of today, the router is working like a champ for me. I subscribed to AT&T 1 Gigabit plan since the pandemic to deal with my wife and I working from home and my kids are online schooling as well. I have numerous video meetings daily and chair some of the meetings weekly so I need a reliable internet line. Setting up my printer to wirelessly print through this router is a breeze. As of today, the router is still running really solid and stable. Keep in mind that you only need about 40Mbps to stream 4K videos from my understanding . . . in my case, I'm getting 557.61 Mbps download and 523.78 Mbps upload speed through the Netgear's Nighthawk app today Jan 9th. I'm taking advantage of Wifi 6. See attached screenshot. Good Luck and highly recommend if you can get it on sale @ Best Buy.

Great deal on a awesome router
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a great deal @ $149 Now onto my thoughts on the router. So the setup is not that easy, but have no fear NetGear tech support is included. Be sure and take advantage of there help. So I have the “ extreme blast” package thru comcast @ 600mbps. But my old modem @ best got 250mbps speed. Good but well below what I pay for. So I read reviews & decided to try this modem out, glad I did. So now my average speed is 450- 526 mbps which is much closer to what my package puts out, plus I am using the NetGear CM1000 modem thus building a bridge for same type Manufacture components to integrate smoother between each other! Also to protect your modem and home network. The security program “ Armor” Software is highly recommended, it protects all devices that are on your WiFi. Plus this software is made by Bitdefender, a highly rated security software company! See picture of one of my speed test to show my results. All functions can be ran thru the Nighthawk app, a must have to easily make changes as needed!

Router review
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this to replace my old router that would not support our new plan. We are now getting over what our plan says we should! All of our connectivity issues are gone. The whole time I thought we were having issues with our provider and it was the old router the whole time. Best of all it was half off when I purchased it. Thanks to the awesome sales person for pointing that out to me. I located the router in the basement and it reaches everywhere for n my house. I also hardwired our kids PlayStation, our home security system, and our satellite receivers into it.

Q: QuestionWhy can't I find this item anywhere other than Best Buy?? Is that going to cause problems down the line?
Asked by Douglas.
- A:Answer Simple answer no. The other guy is correct on the exclusive part but not on the specs. They are identical in hardware memory/flash/CPU except RAX50 "4.5X better performance than an AC router—6-stream WiFi with up to 5.4Gbps for fast wireless speeds" to the RAX48 "4.3X better performance than an AC route—6-stream WiFi with up to 5.2Gbps" due to the QAM on the 2.4Ghz band. Most wouldn't notice. Source Netgear data sheet https://www.netgear.com/images/datasheet/networking/wifirouter/rax48.pdf

Q: QuestionWill this reach a detached garage that's about 50 ft away? If not, what would you recommend? Ty
Asked by Kellylee.
- A:Answer Not sure about 50ft Away. I have been able to receive a good Wi Fi reception almost full reception up to 40ft away with 5Ghz connection on my cell phone. I needed 40ft to use my cell phone to turn on/off smart sprinkler timer instead of running back and forth to timer or the sprinkler valves in my back yard.

Q: QuestionCan I use this router with a Motorola MG7315 Cable modem/router?
Asked by NPRAKS.
- A:Answer This will work with any modem, as this is a router. It takes your one line in to cable modem and allows for multiple connections through wifi or ethernet wired connection. Think of a router as a cable splitter

Q: QuestionThe router would be placed on the main floor of a 1,700 square foot house. But it will need to communicate with a second computer that is in the basement, about 30 feet away with a floor and wall between. Is that a suitable use?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Possibly. Do you have a current router? If so, what type & how well does it work? What does this particular router add that your old one lacks? Our solution to reach from main floor to basement was to add a Range Extender. Find an extender that supports both 2.4 & 5GHz, with the ability to use one of the bands as a "back haul" channel. Ours is an older Linksys, but works perfectly well with 2 running computers & a Roku in the basement - with a few odd minutes of smartphone connectivity tossed in for good measure. MUCH less expensive than a "mesh" system.
